Franchise Investment & Business Model

The franchise fee starts from ₹18 lakhs onwards, depending on the location and the proposed scale of operations. In addition to the franchise fee, the overall investment will include school infrastructure and setup costs, interiors and furniture, learning materials, legal and administrative expenses, pre-launch marketing activities, and initial staffing costs.

We also recommend maintaining additional liquid funds to support operational expenses for at least six months after the school becomes operational.

  • We offer flexible and customised long-term franchising models designed to suit different business requirements. For larger investments and long-term commitments, we provide a built-to-suit 10-year franchise model. For other requirements, we offer a 5+5 year model with a preferential renewal option.
  • The franchise fee is determined based on the city, specific location, and selected franchise tenure. The one-time upfront franchise investment for a 5-year term ranges from ₹5–8 lakhs (exclusive of GST).
  • Renewal fees are also determined based on the tenure and applicable terms at the time of renewal. These generally range from 50% of the existing initiation fee to 70% of the prevailing franchise fee.
  • The annual royalty fee is 10% of the gross revenue.

This may vary depending on the location and specific business requirements. We provide a customised budget projection tool tailored to your locality and operational needs. With our proven brand, systems, and roadmap, the success of the centre largely depends on its execution and management. The expected payback period generally ranges between 2.5 to 3 years, depending on the initial scale of investment and operations.

The minimum tenure for a franchise agreement is 5 years, with a renewal fee applicable at the time of extension. The maximum tenure is 10 years, after which renewal terms may be considered based on mutual agreement and applicable conditions.

The franchise allotment process involves multiple stages of assessment, verification, and planning to ensure the right fit. The franchise fee is payable at the time of signing the franchise agreement and is non-refundable.

Only in exceptional cases, and at the sole discretion of Cubs Club, the setup timeline may be extended by a maximum period of one year beyond the agreed schedule mentioned in the franchise agreement.

The Cubs Club franchise cannot be transferred or sold to another party. In case you wish to terminate the franchise for any reason, the terms and procedures mentioned in the franchise agreement shall apply.

Operations and Support Services

  • We support the staff recruitment process by providing clear hiring guidelines, defined job roles, and recruitment outreach assistance.
  • We actively and mandatorily participate in the recruitment of the Head of School, as this is one of the most important roles for the success and smooth operation of the pre-school. An educationist profile is preferred for this position.
  • We provide comprehensive training and orientation for the Franchise Promoter and the Head of School through a 2-day in-person conference in the Cubs Club School premise. The conference cost for participants is included in the franchise fee, excluding travel expenses to and from the school.
  • We also offer virtual teacher training programs and courses, along with optional in-person training sessions for teachers from time to time.
  • The Franchise Owner is not required to have prior experience in education or early childhood learning.
  • However, the Head of School must have relevant experience in early learning or the broader field of education as an educator.
  • We promote your centre through our centralised marketing channels, including digital and social media platforms, mainstream media coverage, events, and various brand campaigns.
  • We provide a complete brand kit and professionally designed templates to support your local marketing activities, events, digital presence, and social media promotions.
  • We also offer digital marketing, social media management, and performance marketing services to franchises initially.
  • The website is centrally managed, and each franchise is provided with a dedicated webpage.
  • We provide complete planning guidelines and detailed specifications for the school layout and setup, helping you build a secure, child-friendly, engaging, and nature-inspired learning space.
  • Our team reviews and approves the project at two important stages:
    1. Approval of the final layout and design plan
    2. Final inspection and approval after project completion
  • All required approvals and compliances from local and government authorities must be obtained, including municipal permissions, fire safety approvals, structural safety certificates, etc.

Staffing, Enrollment & Operations

  • A school with a capacity of around 100–120 students typically requires a team of 22–25 members, including the Head of School, administrative personnel, teachers, assistant teachers, and support staff to ensure quality care and smooth academic operations.
  • The actual staffing structure may differ based on the centre’s size, location, operational requirements, and infrastructure.
  • Staff salaries at each centre are determined based on local market conditions, regional salary standards, and operational requirements. We provide indicative guidelines specifically for the Head of School position.
  • At Cubs Club, we believe that the success and growth of a centre depends on building a strong team of talented and dedicated professionals.
  • We encourage every Cubs Club centre to maintain a team of skilled, efficient, and passionate educators and support staff.
  • Regular centre audits are conducted to ensure that all operational and academic standards are consistently maintained, including the quality and performance of the teaching staff.
